Now it's possible to totally immerse your neck and shoulders in water with the Caribe overflow tub. Caribe's unique overflow design allows the bather to be fully immersed, with any displaced water gently trickling over the sides of the tub, creating a haven for relaxation and therapy.
The Caribe is an elegant, minimalist-design tub that features a water canal around the perimeter, with 2 overflow drains concealed in the top left and right front corners. The bath measures a generous 79" x 47.5" x 21.75" and is designed to be roomy enough to accommodate two-person bathing. Available as a soaking tub, whirlpool, air bath or whirlpool / air bath combination, Caribe can easily become the center of a bath oasis.
System Aria and Aria Elite air bath systems provide a light, full-body massage through air jets which are strategically located at the bottom of the bath. They produce thousands of tiny bubbles that relax muscles and stimulate circulation. MTI’s air baths are exceptionally hygienic. Built-in check valves are designed to keep water from entering the air lines, and a one-minute purge cycle automatically activates 20 minutes after the water has drained out of the tub. An electronic keypad controls the adjustable flow rate from gentle to vigorous, or pulsating for a wave effect. The keypad is supplied with a 12’ electrical lead for wall mounting. An optional floating remote is also available to control the air bath and chromatherapy functions.
Chromatherapy is a standard feature of the Aria Elite air bath system and is also available as a separate option. For centuries, light and color have been recognized as having an affect on human bio-rhythms and life equilibrium. The therapeutic use of different colors of light, or chromatherapy, has been determined to have a positive impact on overall health and well-being.
Underwater lighting is provided by digitally controlled LEDs. A control button allows selection of constant color or preset programs to achieve the desired lighting effects and utilize these chromatic energy sources. .
Caribe’s whirlpool package provides deep tissue massage with point-massage jets that are adjustable from gentle and relaxing to invigorating and energizing. A wide variety of options are available, including MTI’s patented Fill-Flush® or Simple Touch® whirlpool cleaning system. Both systems will clean the entire whirlpool plumbing system, including the air lines, in less than 5 minutes and with less than 10 gallons of water, leaving them hygienic for the next use. Selecting a whirlpool package requires the use of one of the alternate versions of Caribe described below. In order to accommodate the installation of various fixtures and controls, Caribe is available in 2 additional modified versions. The first version includes a small flat “deck” area (measuring 12” wide x 6-1/2” deep) that is positioned in the center of the water canal on either the front or rear side of the tub. This provides a mounting surface for spout and hot and cold mixing valves, if they are not wall-mounted. Or, if spout and valves are wall-mounted, the deck would accommodate controls for the whirlpool and / or air bath. The second version includes 2 decks. One deck would provide a surface for the spout and hot and cold mixing valves, and the other would house the air bath and / or whirlpool controls. In either case, the overflow feature continues to operate uninterrupted. Caribe is constructed of durable, high-gloss Lucite® cast acrylic, reinforced with a thick layer of fiberglass / titanium / resin.
